My Bridal Shoot

My bridal shoot was a day I looked forward to for so long! My amazing photographer, Jennifer Woodbery, owner of J.Woodbery Photography (make sure to check out her website!) took some amazing photos and really helped me to feel comfortable in front of the camera.

My mom came with me to the appointment and I'm so grateful that she was there to help me carry my huge HOT dress around! I didn't realize how heavy my dress would be and how hot it would be outside. I guess that I should have known that July in Alabama is ALWAYS scorching hot. I think it was one of the hottest days of the year. (of course!) But Jennifer was so awesome, she kept giving me breaks to go inside and get some air. She is such a professional and I am so grateful to have her as my photographer!!! I know that we will use her for years to come for family photos!

Here are some of my favorite photos that she took that day:

These were the earrings that I originally thought I would wear at the wedding, but Andy ended up gifting me a gorgeous pair of diamond and pearl earrings the day of our wedding that I actually ended up wearing instead.

I love how Jennifer makes such great use of light!! She is truly amazing!!

This is probably my favorite bridal portrait photo.

The blue heart was an old blue shirt from my dad - something old and something blue. I also had a piece of my moms old wedding dress wrapped around my bouquet the day of the wedding, my Mamaw's Eastern Star pin and I borrowed a hair clip from my stepmom.

Jennifer captures the most fun pictures! Some of my favorites were the twirling photos - I had fun doing it too!!

The gorgeous backdrop where our ceremony would happen.

Twirling where we would twirl for our first dance together.

Our Engagement Party

"I Do" BBQ
We had so much fun at our engagement party! Our friends and family came together and purchased us an awesome patio set and gave it to us at the party - we are so grateful!! The decorations were INCREDIBLE. I know that a lot of people worked hard to make it so beautiful.

I was especially excited because it was the first time that I was able to have all of my bridesmaids together. Shannon flew in from Connecticut and Haleigh drove over from Louisiana. We had such a fun weekend. So grateful for all of the ladies in my life!

Wedding Day Survival Kit

Shannon sent me the MOST ADORABLE wedding day survival kit!!! It has everything you could ever imagine for the morning of the wedding (and throughout the rest of the day!). The sign she made for us is so sweet - it's a saying from the movie "Sweet Home Alabama" - which is so fitting!! It will be used at the wedding and then in our home after the wedding! <3

*Update after wedding: This basket was a lifesaver!!! I actually ended up using it at the hotel the night before the wedding because I had forgotten my contact lens solution and a razor/shaving cream. The bridesmaids had everything they needed and no one had to leave in a rush to go and get anything. It worked out so perfect! Thank you Shannon - you're a lifesaver!!!
