Taking Dance Lessons

Andy is such a trooper!! He has been taking dance lessons with me so that we will feel comfortable doing our first dance. He has always said that he is "not a good dancer" -- but that is so far from true. He dances with me all the time at home now - even when we're not at the studio dancing!

We have actually had a lot of fun taking the classes together because it is a way to step away from all of the wedding planning and laugh with each other some. It's definitely been a bonding experience!

Below is a picture of our dance instructor at Planet Ballroom, Sterling. He was teaching me how to do something and Andy was recording it so we could play it back later when we were practicing at home.

My Teeth Whitening Experience

Have you ever gotten your teeth whitened professionally? Well, I will tell you that the actually appointment takes about 2 hours and it seems like it is pretty easy. About every 20 minutes, the dental hygienist will come in and vacuum the tan gooey stuff off your teeth and replace it with a new layer before you go "under the light" for another session. Your mouth is stretched out and you can help but want to take picture of yourself because the nitrous that they have given you to help with sensitivity makes everything hilarious.

The type of teeth whitening I had done was called KOR whitening. The dentists who did my whitening were great, the process - not so much.

I had decided to get my teeth whitened before my bridal portraits and the wedding and figured it would be as easy way to make my smile look great before the big day.

The funny contraption they put in your mouth to put the whitening "goo" on.
The after picture!
What they fail to tell you is how absolutely painful your teeth will feel after the appointment. I never knew that I could notice my teeth. But, when you breath in and the air is literally hurting your teeth so bad that you can't open your mouth - it's hard not to notice them. It was so horrible. I don't think I could ever go through the teeth whitening experience again. I did everything they said to make the process go properly -- used the sensitive drop stuff that helped to desensitize my teeth, had the special toothpaste, the whole shebang. Was it worth it? I think that looking back, I'm happy I did it for the wedding but NEVER AGAIN will I get my teeth professionally whitened.
