The Wedding Decor

My poor mother's home is being taken over by sparkly romantic candles and decor for the wedding!!! She is doing such a wonderful job of gathering all of the stuff for the wedding. A lot of it she already had in storage - of course some of it is new as well. She has always been a party planner type, so over the years she has gained tons of beautiful pieces for decorations. I was shocked when I went to her house and found all of this out though!! It's so pretty!! I can't wait for the actual wedding to see how amazing it will all look on the tables!

Our Engagement Photos

Our photographer, Jennifer Woodbery (owner of J.Woodbery Photography) has outdone herself again! Our engagement photos came out so much better than I could have ever imagined they would. We had such an adventure getting them done!

First, Jennifer blew out a tire (poor girl!) and had to stop and get it fixed, then we went to our original location (botanical gardens) but quickly realized that was a bad location because it was a Saturday that pretty much every school in Birmingham was having prom. Everyone and their mother (and grandmother!) was there taking pictures. So Jennifer said to follow her and she would find somewhere nice to take pictures. We made our way over to the Pelham/Helena area and Jennifer brought us to the most beautiful place ... on the side of the road! She is so creative that she was able to imagine what the pictures would turn out like --- all we saw was a white fence and a field. She can truly turn anything into magic!!!
